Soon, you'll have the opportunity to experience OpenAI's much-discussed text-to-video generator firsthand. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, OpenAI's chief technology officer, Mira Murati, mentioned that Sora will be accessible this year, with a possibility of it being available within a few months.

OpenAI unveiled Sora, capable of crafting highly realistic scenes from text prompts, back in February. Initially, the tool was limited to visual artists, designers, and filmmakers, yet some Sora-generated videos found their way onto platforms like X.

In addition to opening up the tool to the public, Murati disclosed that OpenAI has future plans to incorporate audio, potentially enhancing the realism of the scenes. Moreover, the company aims to enable users to modify the content in the videos Sora generates, acknowledging that AI tools may not always produce accurate results.
